## About

Thomas Rice co-founded Minotaur Capital in 2024, where he serves as Portfolio Manager. He built Taurient, Minotaur's AI research system.

Prior to Minotaur, Thomas spent 9 years at Perpetual Limited (including 6 years running the Global Innovation Share Fund) and 11 years at PM Capital.

Thomas has been coding since childhood — dialling into BBSs in the early 90s, running a multi-line BBS at university, and contributing to Shattered World MUD around 2001. He later built Dragon Tavern, a browser game that's still online. He works mostly in Python.

He wrote 105 editions of Thomas's Innovation Wrap, a weekly summary of technology and innovation news through the lens of a fund manager.

The name comes from centaur chess — human intuition combined with machine processing power.
